Self-tuning short-pulse fibre lasers with automated algorithmic optimisation. Australian and New Zealand Conference on Optics and Photonics (ANZCOP 2017), 2017, (Paper 15).
Abstract
We report self-optimising fibre lasers that achieve on-demand autonomous spectral tuning and variable short-pulse generation by passive birefringent filtering, governed by genetic algorithms and electronic control of the cavity transfer function.
